Located in the busy social precinct of Darling Harbour, Helm Bar is a sophisticated bar catering for over 25's, the corporate market, stylish Sydney-siders and tourists visiting the area.


After a successful business relationship through another hospitality business, the General Manager contacted Copirite to enlist our services at Helm Bar. Over the past few months we have been busy updating various promotions and branding for Helm Bar as well as menus and function packs.





Varsity Lakes Tavern, which opened in December 2005 on the Gold Coast, has raised the standards in design, marketing, and promotions, for the hospitality industry in Australia.


When the tavern first opened its doors in 2005, the community welcomed it with open arms, as it instantly raised the profile of Varsity Lakes, by helping the growing residential development become not only a place to live but also a new destination for meeting friends and casual dining on the Gold Coast.

The key concept behind Varsity Lakes Tavern was to create a meeting place for all social occasions and lifestyles, from dinner with the family, to a night on the town or casual drinks on a Sunday afternoon, which is why Varsity has become the best destination for wining, dining and entertaining in QLD.

Varsity Lakes Tavern realises the importance of keeping customers interested, and so varies its promotions to suit different markets. This includes the weekly calendar, which highlights a night for students, members, the hospitality industry and of course the locals. Not only does this keep the venue interesting, but it also generates more trade during off-peak periods.

Advertising and Marketing Collateral

Copirite was commissioned by Varsity Lakes Tavern to design all of its marketing collateral thus ensuring that everything bearing the Varsity Lakes Tavern name or logo is sleek and uniform. Just as each of their events is tailored to each market, so are their promotional pieces and all are promoted via professional, stylish flyers, nightlife advertisements, emails and printed canvases just to name a few.

Marketing Success

The success of the Copirite/ Varsity Lakes Tavern relationship is reflected in Varsity’s increased patronage, examples of which are: 

Monday Nights
The introduction of Members Mondays, Varsity Lakes Tavern has increased patronage by over 100%.
HIP Nights
The introduction of the hospitality night, Varsity Lakes Tavern has increased patronage by 50%
Miss Varsity
This special event was held on Wednesday nights over 3 weeks and increased patronage by over 500%.
